Mary-Wommack advises clients in a variety of corporate and securities law matters and provides assistance to clients in connection with a wide range of business, transactional, and commercial contract matters. Mary-Wommack regularly represents clients in transactions involving:
private equity and debt financings of privately held companies,
mergers and acquisition transactions, including representation of buyers
and sellers in stock, asset and merger transactions,
various aspects of compliance with federal and state securities laws,
including filing obligations under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934,
general governance issues for private entities, and
the structure and formation of new business ventures.
Prior to joining DMC in June 2012, Mary-Wommack was a corporate attorney in the Austin office of Graves, Dougherty, Hearon & Moody, P.C. Mary-Wommack also clerked for Judge William Garwood at the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit from 2007 to 2008.
Mary-Wommack is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and is a member of the American Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas. She received her J.D. with honors from the University of Texas School of Law and her B.A. in Psychology and Art History, magna cum laude, from Washington & Lee University. While attending the University of Texas, she was a member of the Texas Law Review and the Legal Research Board.
Mary-Wommack enjoys spending time with family and friends in Austin. Her outside interests include running, live music, water skiing, snow skiing and two-stepping.
